THE coach
Hi, I'm Luke!
With over 14 years of badminton experience under my belt, I've played at various levels, ranging from local club competitions to international tournaments. I began my journey representing my county at a young age, and now I'm proud to be part of the Welsh senior team. Recently, I joined the Welsh badminton coaching team, where I have the privilege of supporting our talented Welsh badminton athletes.
Between the ages of 16 and 18, I completed my Level 1 & 2 UKCC badminton coaching qualifications, which set the foundation for my coaching career. I then went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Sports Coaching from Cardiff Metropolitan University. Currently, I'm honing my skills even further by completing the Badminton Europe Advanced Course.
Currently, I am based in Cardiff and offer my coaching expertise at three premier locations. You can find me at Penarth Leisure Centre, Talybont Cardiff University, and the Welsh Institute of Sport.

As a coach, my philosophy is centered on inspiring both kids and adults to reach their full potential while fostering a lifelong love for the sport. At our academy, we believe that every individual has the ability to excel, and we strive to provide a supportive and engaging atmosphere that encourages personal growth. Our sessions emphasise fun, enjoyment, and personal development, ensuring that each member, regardless of age or skill level, feels empowered to chase their dreams and achieve their goals on and off the court.
